Mayor’s
Time has built partnerships with nearly 800 schools,
community and faith-based organizations providing
after-school programs to thousands of Detroit’s
children and youth.
Corporations and foundations also have invested
in our work:
- Skillman Foundation has awarded Mayor’s
Time a $775,000 three-year grant to fund training,
advocacy and a communications campaign to support
after-school programs in Detroit.
- Intel Corporation
has joined with Mayor’s
Time to create four Intel Computer Clubs in
partnership with Latino Family Services, Boys
and Girls Club,
and Northwest Activity Center.
- PGA Tour and
USA Network provides free golf lessons every
summer to Detroit youth during the Buick
Open PGA event held annually in Grand Blanc,
MI.
- Detroit
Public Schools is an integral partner, working
with Mayor’s Time to measure
the outcomes of after-school participation.
- Bank One, Charter One, Coca-Cola, Colgate-Palmolive,
Comerica, Compuware, DaimlerChrysler Services,
Detroit Auto Dealers Association, EDS, Farmer
Jack, Ford Motor Company, Henry Ford Health
System, McDonald’s, and Target are among
the companies that have supported the annual
After
School Fairs.
Detroit Public Television
Detroit Public Television’s mission is to
share the power of the media to provide knowledge

educating and preparing children and adults for
productive and satisfying futures, enhancing the

Intel
Corporation
Intel Corporation has joined with Mayor's Time to
create four Intel Computer Clubs in partnership

The City has taken the lead in expanding after-school
programs and activities in a variety of ways.
Every
City Department and agency identified how they
would support Mayor's Time.
Detroit
Public Schools
Detroit Public Schools is an integral parnter with
Mayor's Time. They formed the After-School Programming
Task Force the goal of which is to increase after-school
participation to 50% in schools and to develop clear
guidelines on after-school programs operated by
the District or which utilized District facilities.
Detroit Public Schools/Mayor's Time Public
Safety Academy
Detroit Public Schools in collaboration
with Mayor's Time Public Safety Academy, Detroit,
Police Department, Detroit Fire Department, Department
of Emergency Medical Services, and the Community,
will successfully educate its students in a clean,
safe healthy learning environment to be productive
citizens in a global society.
Coca-Cola
Bottling of MI
Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Michigan, a Detroit-based
business, has donated over $50,000 to support after-school
programming. Additionally, they have pledged to
donate $25,000 per year for two more years into
local youth programs through the Mayor's Time network.
Metro
Detroit's Promise
Metro Detroit's Promise strives to fulfill all
Five Promises to children and the community. They
are
raising awareness of existing resources and generating
more resources in all Five Promise areas. Mayor's
Time will provide resources, support and capacity
building to five Metro Detroit's Promise Sites
of
Promise, which are Alkebu-lan Village, Big Brothers/Big
Sisters of Metropolitan Detroit, Detroit Police
Athletic League (PAL), Hollywood Golf and THINK
